Dance With Melody Mission Statement

To instill the love of dance by nurturing each student to be the best they can be. To foster them to discover their inner strengths,

skills, and confidence.  To help students develop their physical and emotional well being.

Dance With Melody, founded by owner Melody Shanley in 1991,

offers every student a high quality and rewarding dance education experience. Students develop a love for dance as well as an appreciation for the art of dance. In a comfortable and fun environment, students learn proper technique, while building their own self-esteem and confidence. Each student is carefully monitored to be placed in the class that will be both challenging yet graded to accommodate student levels. Whether the student is beginner or experienced, recreational or competitive, students can be certain they will be placed in the correct class.

Our dance school consists of two spacious studios, Harlequin Allegro dance floors, various professional gymnastics mats and equipment, and a comfortable changing room with individual storage areas and seating. We also carry a full line of dancewear and dance shoes for children through adults.

Performance opportunities are offered to all students including our yearly recital, recital productions, and graded syllabus.  Specialty classes are offered throughout the year including summer camps, company intensive camps, master classes, a production performance,

as well as our Dancin’ Moms and Dads.

The studio has participated in many events throughout the years including

benefit performances for American Cancer Society, Dancers Responding to Aids,

the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Stand Up 2 Cancer, Monmouth Mall Concerts, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and others.

Dance With Melody's award winning competition team, Diamonds Dance Company, has danced

in Regional and National Competitions, as well

as danced with Carnival Cruise Line's "Imagination," performed at Great Adventure, Blue Claws games, The Strand Theatre, Middletown Cultural Art Center, Disney World and Senior Citizen homes.
